Human, technologies and regulations
As part of the inaugural panel of the EuroPOWER Energy Conference, a representative of the government will be presenting on the state of Polish energy. During the Advisory Board Meeting which took place on the 18th of January at the Ministry of Energy, the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, Plenipotentiary for the Presidency of COP 24, Michał Kurtyka indicated three important topics which cannot be missing during the event: the role of man and their expectations, technologies and regulations. The issue of the consumer, which should be served by the entire economy, must be noticed and included in the development strategy of energy. Inspiration can be found in places such as China or France, who set the direction of energy development across the world. It’s also important to refer to technology through the prism of its impact on the reduction of pollutant emissions, new places of work or increasing energy security. A discussion about regulations should complement this.
The possibilities of Polish energy
There are many challenges standing before the Polish energy sector. Modern technologies that are a chance for Poland’s development will certainly help to solve them. However, they only apply if they respond to specific needs and expectations. Debated topics during the 29th EuroPOWER Energy Conference will answer these specific problems which are key for the sector. As part of such an approach to the spring edition of the event, the speakers will try to answer the following questions:
- What does the state’s strategy in the field of energy and the climate look like?
- How to improve air quality? How can RES supplement the energy mix?
- How to fill the gap after lignite? Wind energy, nuclear energy
- What are the key trends in the energy sector?
- What new IT technologies are in favour of the energy market?
- How to limit growing energy prices?
- How to understand the balancing of NPS with regards to centralized and distributed power generation?
- How to finance energy transformation?
Above all else, the country’s energy and climate strategy will be discussed, as well as the role of consumers, financing energy transformation and new business models used in the sector.

A well-thought-out agenda, the most prominent experts as speakers and the opportunity to establish invaluable business contacts attracted more than 600 participants within the two days of the Congress. “The EuroPOWER Energy Conference is a cyclical event which is attended by the most important people in the energy sector.
