The energy market around the consumer – XXVIII EuroPOWER Energy Conference

24-25 October at The Westin Warsaw Hotel, the XXVIII EuroPOWER Energy Conference took place. As always, the congress was to present concrete solutions for the energy sector to a group of key decision makers for the Polish economy. The thought-through agenda, 37 of the best experts as speakers and the possibility to meet priceless business contacts brought more than 600 participants across both days of the congress.

The event started with a joint part between the EuroPOWER Energy Conference and the Innovative Manufacturing Forum. The inaugural opening of the Congress by the Chair people of the Advisory Boards, Joanna Makowiecka-Gaca and Leszek Juchniewicz was the introduction to the presentation waited for by many, by Maciej Bando, President of the Energy Regulatory Office. The speech of the Guest of Honor underlined how the expectations connected with the elections will have an impact on the energy market. The inaugural debate by Rzeczpospolita touched on the topic of Polish energy on the brink of economy 4.0. Key experts of energy and modern production spoke about issues such as the development of renewable energies, prosumer photovoltaics, biomass power plants or nuclear energy.

Keeping the slogan “Society, energy, economy” in mind, the first day of the EuroPOWER Energy Conference discussed the competitiveness of the Polish economy. Presidents of the largest energy companies, guests from academic institutions and representatives of ministries exchanged their opinions on the topic of energy policies in Poland. There was no lack of consideration regarding the consumer the next day. Energy doesn’t exist without the clients and its task is to provide electricity at an attractive price. The issue of civic energy and the democratization of the energy market was discussed by energy provides together with the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.

During the XXVIII EuroPOWER Energy Conference there was no lack of active discussion and important topics. The topics of releasing innovation was the next one to be received with wide interest by participants of the event. It made the case studies more attractive, with companies presenting examples of solutions which they have implemented in the energy sector.
