Solution Provider for the Sector – MindMade Sp. z o.o.
Award for an interoperable communication system with high IT security.
PIK is a solution that:
- meets the requirements of the PKN-CEN / CWA 15537 ver. February 2008 “Network centric operations. Service-oriented architecture as part of civil-military crisis management” workshop,
- operates based on the LTE standard and integrates existing TETRA / DMR / Analog solutions with LTE 450, which in effect gives:
- verified implementations, reliability of communication throughout the whole country, without limitation to the scope of one network,
- investment security for companies that currently have other communication systems,
- the ability to quickly connect other users such as public safety services in the event of emergencies.
- is scalable – it means that you can provide one system for the power industry and divide it into virtual sub-networks. Example – we create sub-networks for PSE / Energa / PGE / Tauron / Enea,
- Virtual subnets operate separately, through their own dispatcher consoles integrated with the operator’s native connectivity and LTE 450,
- although each of these sub-networks operates in separation, if necessary, the selected local dispatcher can manage users of other operators (with their consent),
- is protected by cryptography (Polish solutions) in terms of information technology.

Innovation of the Year – Apator Metrix
For the design of the iSMART smart gas meter. THe gas meter, developed by the Polish company Apator Metrix, is an innovative IoT measuring device. iSMART is one of the first devices for the emerging market of smart gas networks. As the first gas meter in Poland, it passed the tests of compliance with the requirements of the SMART-GAS protocol. THe device is very popular among clients from Poland, Italy, Lithuania, Ukraine and Belgium. The gas meter can be produced in various functional configurations. Thanks to the Phoenix-RTOS operating system, it is possible to use a wide range of network stacks (including WM-BUS, ZigBee) and communication protocols (including SMART-GAS, DLMS / COSEM). THe device has an electric counter and is equipped with temperature correction, a gas flow shutoff valve and a communication module.
Meets all CE conformity requirements, including MID, ATEX, EMC and RED. The measurement of volume and gas flow is carried out by dedicated meteorological software, and a separate software module is responsible for the logic of collecting measurement data and making it available to external systems. The entire software operates under the control of the Phoenix-RTOS Polish real-time operating system.
